8-hydroxyquinoline is mainly used as the intermediates in halogenatedquinoline drugs inindustrial production, one of the pollutants of pharmaceutical waste water. Its wastewater hasthe same characteristics as pharmaceutical organic wastewater, mainly shows: highconcentration, difficult to degrade, no good biochemical qualities, and with certain toxicitywhich can inhibit the growth of microorganism. H acid is mainly used for the dye production,its waste water usually has the characteristics of high concentration, high chromaticity, moresalt content, more suspended solids and toxic, and most of the wastewater is hard tobiodegradable. The water pollution caused by the two types of wastewater not only bring badimpacts to our daily life now, but also will affect our future life for years, or even longer. Thestudy through degradation of8-hydroxyquinoline and H acid wastewater, provide theorysupport and practical reference to the field of organic wastewater treatment.The composition of the pharmaceutical wastewater is complex, and this paper studied in8-hydroxylquinolinc, one of the pollutants in pharmaceutical wastewater. It provides a newmethod to the treatment of the pharmaceutical wastewater with the technology ofultrasound-biochemical. The difficult of H-acid wastewater treatment, which is one of thedifficult degradation of organic wastewater, has difficulties in processing because of its highCODcr value and large chromaticity. In this paper,we proposed respectively by Ozoneoxidation and Fenton oxidation pretreatment method in wastewater treatment, with which cando good work in the removal of wastewater CODcr and also can play a very good effect ondecolorization. At the same time cooperating with aerobic biochemical method for advancedtreatment, we can finally make the wastewater degraded.The experiment results show:8-hydroxyquinoline wastewater with concentration of0.6g/L (initial CODcr is1200mg/L), pretreated by ultrasound cells crusher ultrasonic and deeplytreated with two level aerobic biochemical treatment, its CODcr total removal rate can reach94.4%. H acid wastewater with initial CODcr of1200mg/L and initial pH of7, throughH2O2/O3catalytic oxidation pretreatment and aerobic biochemical treatment, CODcr totalremoval rate is finally up to92.6%, and chromaticity reduced to50degrees value. Useultrasound-Fenton oxidation pretreatment followed with aerobic biochemical treatment, theCODcr total removal rate can reach92.8%, and chromaticity is reduced to80degrees. Effective pretreatment greatly improves the efficiency of degradation, and after theexperiment, quality of waste water reaches sewage discharge secondary standard.
