With the growing shortage of petroleum and seriously environment pollution, theemulsified fuel has received increasing attention which can reduce pollution and saveenergy. Diesel micro emulsion, which is spontaneously formed mixtures of diesel oiland water (or alcohols) under certain conditions by means of surfactants, with orwithout the aid of co-surfactants, is a dispersion system with thermodynamic stability,isotropy, and transparent or translucent appearance.Basis on the review of the Chinese energy solution, micro-emulsion theory anddiesel research development, the following studies have mainly down:1. The alcohol micro-emulsified diesel was prepared with the composition of oilacid, stearic acid,2-ethyl-1-hexanol, isobutyl alcohol, ethyl acetate andtriethanolamine, which the density is840kg/m3, the kinematic viscosity is6.0mm2/sand the freezing point is-7℃. The effect of oil acid and ethyl acetate on the density,kinematic viscosity and freezing point of micro emulsion was studied. Ethyl acetatehas a great influence than oil acid on the kinematic viscosity of the system. Ethylacetate also can improve the low temperature fluidity.2. The aqueous micro-emulsified diesel was prepared with the composition ofsodium oleate, the polyols bracelet surfactant, CTAB, triethanolamine and1-pentanol,which the density is860kg/m3, the kinematic viscosity is12.9mm2/s and the freezingpoint is-3℃. The effect of1-pentanol and triethanolamine on the density, kinematicviscosity and freezing point of micro emulsion was studied. triethanolamine has agreat influence on the kinematic viscosity of the system. triethanolamine also canimprove the low temperature fluidity; the whole co surfactant only alcohols canreduce the kinematic viscosity of the system; and the polyhydric alcohols braceletsurfactant have great influence on the density of the system.3. The aqueous and alcohol micro-emulsified diesel was prepared with thecomposition of oil acid, stearic acid,2-ethyl-1-hexanol, isobutyl alcohol, ethyl acetate,sodium oleate, the polyols bracelet surfactant,1-pentanol and triethanolamine, which the density is867kg/m3, the kinematic viscosity is13.6mm2/s and the freezing pointis-5℃. The effect of oil acid and triethanolamine on the density, kinematic viscosityand freezing point of micro emulsion was studied. We found that when morecomponents in system, through the interaction between the respective components,generate a big impact on kinematic viscosity of system.Three kinds of micro emulsified diesel prepared have less amount of additives,low toxicity, and less harmful to the human body and environment. The preparationwas under atmospheric pressure. The products have low cost, beneficial to industry,good stability, good stability for more than six months preserved. It has potentialapplication value and puts forward the method of preparation for other microemulsified oil.
