With the situation of the human’s mounting demand for energy, an increasing number ofexploitation to non-renewable resources, like oil, coal, natural gas and so on, is becomingserious. As the cleanest and the lowest cost electric power, nuclear energy is the main energyof the future society, which is putting forward to remand of high qualification of nuclearpower equipment. As an important part of nuclear power equipment, the pump casing is themost important role in the nuclear power generation. However, the traditional productiontechnology in China can’t be satisfied with the requirements and the material and energyconsumption is serious. The multiple-ram forging technology, which to be used in factories inabroad producing advanced nuclear power equipment, is basically a blank space in our country.The high-end equipment has to been imported from other countries. So the need for a newpump casing manufacturing process development is urgent. By referring the manufacturing ofvalves in abroad, a multiple-ram process to the pump casing is set and numerical simulationand experimental research is used on the multiple-ram process.In this dissertation, by using Solidworks and DEFORM-3D software, the heating powercoupling numerical simulation of multiple-ram of pump casing was built. The defects whichmay appear in pump casing forging were analyzed. Compositing forming quality, performanceand capacity of equipment, it put forward the pump casing forming quality evaluation indexes.This dissertation lists influencing factors of the pump casing multiple-ram forging process.And by the method of numerical simulation, it chose the key adjustable influencing factors.Based on them, the better plan for valve multiple-ram forging forming process was chosen.The simulation result showed that by using this plan, valve forging had better forming quality.The pump casing multiple-ram forging process has higher practical application value, andfor the research and development of our big-scale high-end valve multiple-ram forgingtechnology, it has the important meaning.
