Roll is the largest consumption in metallurgical industry, and it has directly relatedto enterprise’s efficiency, quality and cost. Currently, the iron work roll is the mainproduct which the whole roll is rejected when the work layer is finished. Choosing thesleeve rolls about60percent of the roll could be reused and the ring can make a betterperformance through materials choosing and heat treatment. Thus, steel makers can finda new way to achieve higher production outputs of higher quality products while holdingdown costs. The engineers of rolls shop and rolling mills have investigated this task.This paper which focusing on the combination of large backup roll studieselectromagnetic field, temperature field and stress field of induction heating adjustingshrink range and roll shape curve and analyzes the factors influencing the roll crown. Theresearch mainly includes the following parts:Firstly, establishe the finite element simulation analysis model of electromagneticfield induction heating cylindrical billet, and establish its electromagnetic boundaryconditions, analyzes the factors that affect the electromagnetic and ANSYS softwareanalysis process.Secondly, use the ANSYS software to induction heating regulation roller shellcomposite roll crown has carried on the electromagnetic heat coupling nonlinearelastic-plastic finite element simulation, get the regulation of induction heating roller setof compound roll crown evolving law of electromagnetic field, temperature field andstress field, the result of the structure of the composite roll has guiding significance foranalysis and design.Thirdly, calculate the amount interference of bilge rods and roll core, through to theheating process of thermal expansion, stress and finite element simulation, demonstratesthe combination roll in the use of the safety and stability in the process of roll shapeadjustment possibilities.The research of this paper provides theoretical reference for the development ofcomposite roll, and has a certain reference value for the upgrading of the roll manufacturing technology and the development of steel rolling process control.
