Because of the increased tonnage, the design and manufacture of large forginghydraulic machine become more difficult and complex. Based on the design theory offorging hydraulic press, by feasibility analysis, the technology parameters of160MNfree forging hydraulic press are put forward in this paper, and the main body structureis designed. The key components of forging hydraulic press, including the mainhydraulic cylinder, top beam, middle moving beam and bottom beam, is calculaed andchecked by theory, which can make the hydraulic press satisfy the intensity and thestiffness requirement. Through a kind of large-scale numerical simulation softwarenamed ANSYS Workbench, finite element numerical simulation method is adopted tosimulate the main structure and key parts in typical working conditions, which canvertify the rationality of design. The main research contents of the dissertation are asfollows:1. Refer to previous relevant design documents and experience of free forginghydraulic press and starting with the feasibility analysis of hydraulic press parts’smanufacture and machining, and the rationality in loading status, the intensity and thestiffness requirement etc. are analyzed, so the related technology parameters of160MN free forging hydraulic press are put forwards. Based on related design theory, thehydraulic machine body structure is designed, and final body structure schemeultimately is confirmed.2. By using related traditional mechanics theory and method as a reference, thekey components, including the main hydraulic cylinder, top beam, middle movingbeam and bottom beam are checked to make them be able to satisfy the intensity andrigidity requirement.3. Using the numerical simulation method, according to the four actual workingconditions of hydraulic press including central metal gathering, offset upsetting, swaging and thesaddle forging, the main body structure is analyzed by the method offinite element analysis. Based on the analysis results, the results of the numericalsimulation is consistent with the traditional mechanics theory result. 4. The free modality analysis and the pre-stress modality analysis are analyzedfor the160MN free forge hydraulic press. Top ten vibration natural frequencys andthe corresponding modes of two kinds of modality are obtained, and two kinds ofmodality’s solution is compared, which confirms whether the lowest vibration naturalfrequency is close to the working frequency and lead to resonance. Meanwhile, themodal order that may be harmful to the stability of main body in the workingconditions is confirmed, so that could avoid resonance under the working condition.
