A device based on LSPSF semi-solid slurry preparation technology wasdesigned and developed independently for aluminum alloy semi-solid slurry cleanpreparation,which was used for manufacturing semi-solid A356alloy slurry andexploring the effect of the new device in the semi-solid A356alloymicrostructure,The optimum technological parameters was obtained and was used formanufacturing semi-solid A356alloy slurry that was directly used for formingparts.The friction and wear properties of A356alloy were studied,which werecompared with ordinary casting molding parts,which was used for analysing theinfluence of organization on the friction and wear properties.The flowing status ofmetal melt in rotating pipe were simulated, and the mechanism of the effect of thenew device on Microstructure of A356alloy were analyzed with the mathematicaland physical model.The main work and results presented as follows:1、A new device based on LSPSF semi-solid slurry preparation technology wasdesigned and can clean manufacture semi-solid slurry,which was composed of thevertical height adjustment component、horizontal position regulating component、meltprocessing protection component、the component of the support frame、rotating pipe、the diversion device、thermal adaptation of elastic support component、pipe drivingmechanism, cooling components.2、The new equipment was used for manufacturing semi-solid slurry of A356alloy, through the experiment, the optimal rotating speed of rotating pipe was about70r/min, too fast or too slow can not get ideal effect. The optimum rotating pipeinclined angle was about25degrees, too big or too small can not manufactue idealsemi-solid slurry, the optimum pouring temperature was about639degrees.3、The flowing status of metal melt in rotating pipe were simulated by specialfluid analysis software Fluent,the results show the alloy melt in rotating pipepresent irregular ellipse water column, and along the water column spiral andirregular moving forward.The influence mechanism of technical parameters onsemi-solid A356alloy microstructure was analyzed. 4、The study on the friction and wear properties of semi solid A356alloy showthe wear volume increases with the increased of load and the relative speed of frictionpairs,on the contrary,the friction coefficient reduced with the increase of the load andthe friction velocity. Under the same test condition, the wear volume and frictioncoefficient of semi-solid A356alloy was obviously less than conventional castingA356alloy,and the friction and wear curve is more stable, less fluctuant, which wasdue to the improvement of the microstructure. The friction and wear properties ofsemi-solid A356alloy is better than the conventional casting.
