Dyeing wastewater with complex composition, high colority, high concentrationsof organic matter, can be biodegradable poor, and a large proportion in China’sindustrial wastewater. This paper uses a catalytic ozonation degradation of dyeingwastewater treatment, chose lemon yellow azo dyes and dyeing wastewater as apractical study investigated the effect of the removal of organic matter and reactionmechanism in the wastewater, in order to improve the removal of organic matter andreduce the cost, we explored the preparation conditions on the catalyst and controllingfactors of the reaction also.Ozone is a highly reactive oxide, there are widely used in water treatmenttechnology. The lemon yellow simulated wastewater decolorization treatment withozone alone was obviously, but due to selective of ozone, various intermediatesgenerated during the reaction, the organic matter can not be completely mineralized toCO2and H2O, so a lot of work to study the catalytic ozonation technology.Rare earth oxide CeO2due to the special electronic structure has been widelystudied and applied in the field of catalysis. In this paper, CeO2nanoplates, CeO2nanorods and CeO2nanotubes were prepared using hydrothemal process, characterization of chemical structure and surface properties for these materials wascarried out and their efficacy in the catalytic ozonation degradation of wastewater wasinvestigated. The results showed that the surface morphology and reaction conditionsplayed great role in the removal of organic compounds of lemon yellow simulatedwastewater. It was found that the CeO2nanotubes showed superior catalytic activity, which makes it potential for practical application. In order to study the CeO2nanotubes catalytic ozonation in actual dyeingwastewater treatment, use P123triblock compounds as growth regulator, we synthesisedthe another CeO2nanotubes, and made to characterize the morphology and surfaceproperties, found in the role of P123prepared samples not easy reunion, smaller particlesize, more uniform particles, compared to the third chapter of CeO2nanotubes havebetter catalytic performance, almost equal with activated carbon as catalyst in organicmatter removaled in wastewater, but lacking stability, recycling rate is not high.Intor to increase the catalyst stability and the number of repeat reuse and recycling,Ce/ZrO2synthesized by using Ce load on ZrO2, carried out and their efficacy in thecatalytic ozonation degradation of actual dyeing wastewater was investigated. The results showed tetragonal ZrO2loaded5%Ce showed superior catalytic activity in TOCremovaled of wastewater. And reuse of the best performance can replace the activatedcarbon as the catalyst or carrier effect, which provides a reliable theoretical support forthe practical application.
