In this paper, materials routing and process method of the synthesis of isopropylacetate were described in detail. And the rationality of catalytic distillation processsynthesis using acetic acid and isopropanol as raw material was proposed; We used R-Dgroup-contribution method、Benson method to calculate the parametersCp,mof each substance in this system. The thermodynamic properties of system werecalculated to analyze the impact of molar ratio and temperatures on equilibriumconversion, the results showed that: in273.15~373.15K, the reactions arethermodynamically spontaneous, equilibrium constant of the main reaction is relativelylarge, and elevated temperature was conducive to the reaction; the equilibrium conversionrate of acetic acid increased with the mole ratio of isopropanol to acetic acid at certaintemperature;Kinetic experiments were studied on the homemade catalyst, the data of kinetics werefitted using the quasi-homogeneous secondary reaction kinetics model to obtain the kineticparameters of the model:activation energy of positive reaction:Ea+=14.1KJ/mol,pre-exponential factor:A+=2589L/(mol min g);activation energy of reverse reaction:Ea-=18.89KJ/mol,pre-exponential factor:A-=2450L/(mol min g);Based on the above basic research, isopropyl acetate catalytic distillation process wassimulated by Aspen Plus. The calculation results were coincide with the experimentalresults, providing support for engineering studies.
