In order to make good use of isobutane, which was the by-product produced bymany small and medium enterprises, this work simulated the whole process ofisobutane dehydrogenation based on the FBD-4process, by which200000tons of rawmaterials would be handled with every year. To decrease the cost andenergy-consuming, the operating conditions was optimized and the parameters can bereferred when the process of isobutane dehydrogenation was designed and conducted.Dynamic model of the whole reaction system including some side reactions wasestablished in this work and the isobutane concentration, reactor temperature, operationpressure and feed space velocity on isobutane conversion and the selectivity ofisobutylene were investigates detailed. The simulation results showed that conversionrate of isobutane ccould reach49.7%and the selectivity of isobutane88.0%when theisobutane concentration came to94%, at the temperature of580℃, in the pressure of100KPa,in a space velocity of2500h-1.the subsequent separation process of reaction gas is studied the following factorsincluding the number of tower theoretical plate, feed position, operating pressure, feedtemperature of absorbing tower, desorption tower and C4tower.in addition, types andmass-flow of absorbent and other factors which may have effect on the yield ofisobutane and isobutylene.the feed stage of the feed from the top of desorption towerto absorption tower was determined to the seventh theory plate in order to get propanerecovery rate the highest.
