Rubber seals are widely applied to various fields, including automotive, equipment,aerospace machinery, pipelines and other, because the rubber material has characteristics oflarge deformation and non-compression. In this article, the main purpose is to research theautomotive brake systems seals which should have good tightness, safety and durability.Understanding product life ahead of time, to reduce traffic accidents and improve road safetyis of great significance. Therefore, the fatigue life prediction of products is very important inthe research.This article is based on ABAQUS finite element software such as fatigue life predictionand analysis was carried out on the rubber products. In this paper, we design the experimentalprocess, through the forecast analysis to fatigue specimen first, verify the feasibility of theexperiment method, then the seals of brake system for fatigue life analysis. Based on the basicmechanical parameters, and then through the finite element modeling software to analyze andcalculate the result of the experiment.First is to obtain material parameters of rubber under uniaxial tensile, pure shear,volumetric compression experiment and then select the relatively appropriate constitutivemodel to obtain constitutive model parameters. Critical process includes the fatigue life curveof materials(S-N curve). This article adopts the reasonable method, such as acceleratedexperiment method, through design material size and shape certain cut mouth under differentstrain, and then use translation methods for fatigue life curve of the sample.Given load and load boundary conditions, to calculate the distribution of the stresschanges, the reuse of FE-SAFE for calculation, to check the fatigue damage results byABAQUS. The experimental testing result and the predicted results are identical. The analysisof fatigue life of rubber products has very good guidance.
