Sewer system play an important role in collecting and transporting domestic wastewaterand industrial wastewater which is function well in the process of circulation and metabolismof water in the urban water environment. Currently the mostly gravity drainage and concretepipe in the sewer system were accepted in the construction in China. The sewer system willcome out with the problems of serious concrete corrosion after a long term of service.According to the experiences abroad the cost for detection and rehabilitation against corrosionin the sewer system is a huge amount of money. So the study on the corrosion of sewer takeswith outstanding significances for both society and economy.The reasons for sewer system corrosion are varied. One of these reasons is the corrosioncaused by hydrogen sulfide on reinforced concrete. The buildup and emission of hydrogensulfide lead to the corrosion of sewer networks. The main subject through field experimentsand small scale laboratory experiments, field investigation the corrosion and odor status ofdry and branch pipe in a city sewer network. And analysis the variation features ofmalodorous and corrosion in drainage network along with space and time. By analyzing thecharacteristics of the point, sewage flow rate, weather and other factors affecting the drainagenetwork malodorous caused by corrosion evaluation. Then study the way how to control citysewer malodorous and corrosion by simulation laboratory, and proposed the optimizationmethod of city sewer corrosion and malodorous, and then to enhance the drainage networkoperation and maintenance levels.Research results that the water typical quality has larger fluctuations in different pointsof sewer network, the diurnal variation of different water quality indicators is not obvious.The COD and volatile sulfuric acid has better consistency. The diversity is quite differentbetween the sulfide accumulation conditions and hydrogen sulfide concentration in differentlocations. The relevant variation concentration is mainly affected by network operatingenvironment conditions. What’s more, the paper studies and analyzes the composition of themalodorous gases in representative network pipe, the influence of the accumulation ofmalodorous along with different operating conditions. And proposes the control method basedon network malodorous of dissolved oxygen, analyzes the basic operating conditions andoptimization control method.By carrying out the research work, it’s intuitive to understand the basic characteristics of the process of running the sewage pipe network, to grasp the basic characteristics of thechanges and fluctuations in water quality, and promoting the awareness of the cause andfactors of malodorous, putting forward pipeline malodorous control methods. The relevantresearch provides important support for improving the operation and management level of thedomestic sewage pipe network, and has a good practical application guidance.
