With the gradual growth of industrial production, energy consumption, environmentaldegradation is getting worse. How to maximize all aspects of industrial production to reduceenergy consumption and pollution emissions has become the industrial enterprises to achievesustainable development strategy a top priority. In the current industrial production, sulfurrecovery process is an important environmental technology, and super-Claus sulfur recoveryfor the current mainstream chemical production systems. Optimization of sulfur recoveryautomatic control system to ensure that it runs in the security context, to improve sulfurrecovery efficiency and reduce emissions of harmful gases, not only has a certain economicsignificance, but also has important social significance.In this paper, a chemical plant17T/dSuper Claus sulfur recovery unit of the automatic control system improvement projects aspractical background, this device belong to the chemical plant600,000tons of methanolproject. In the sulfur recovery automatic control system required for its gas (acid gas), themain oxygen required for the combustion gas, air flow required for the oxidation, the SuperClaus temperature control parameters. As the first system load changes and acid gascomponents are not stable to the normal operation of the sulfur recovery process disturbancescaused by more frequent, so that the control slightly complicated conditions.This article firstbefore the system load changes and through the system before changing the acid gascomponents of the acid gas flow disturbance, the main burner gas flow, select the oxygen airflow, temperature super-Claus-depth analysis of the dynamic characteristics. For this seriesof dynamic characteristics of the controlled object, he proposed ratio-cascade controlscheme, split range-cascade control scheme, feed forward-feedback control scheme,based on expert PID control feed forward-Cascade-Select control program. In practicalengineering practice, the project selected Honeywell’s Experion PKS200DCS system forcentralized management, remote control, this paper introduces the DCS system and controlscheme designed for the lower and upper monitoring program screen, the system is nowofficially cast transportation, production, application effect is better.
