A bearing structure which could be called Composite Bolt-Rock BearingStructure was formed by the interaction of bolt and surrounding rock. The dissertationstarts its research by aiming at the bearing characteristic of Composite Bolt-RockBearing Structure. The dissertation reveals the bearing characteristic of CompositeBolt-Rock Bearing Structure by rock mechanics parameters, roadway section and boltlength by numerical simulation and physical simulation. Increasing bolt length canimprove bearing capability of Composite Bolt-Rock Bearing Structure in some extent;however has little effect on strength increase and ability to resist deformation of thesurrounding rock of Composite Bolt-Rock Bearing Structure after bolt length exceedsome value. Based on rectangle roadway section, the dissertation established amechanical model of Composite Bolt-Rock Bearing Structure and obtained theformula of geometric parameter and strength. The formula of bolt length is atranscendental inequality and calculated the bolt length with Newton tangent method.Based on the geologic condition of NO.1main return roadway in the east flankof Gucheng Coal Mine, a reasonable support scheme is designed and applied in theNO.1main return roadway. The application results showed that the designed boltsupport scheme controlled of the deformation of roadway effectively.
