Aerial passenger device has been used to transport the personnel in the coal mine.Once the wire rope is broken when running, it will bring a great deal of personal injury andeconomic loss to the coal mine. There are many studies on the wire rope catcher at homeand abroad, but their practical performances have yet to be examined. And the research onexperimental equipment for wire rope catcher is less. In this view, it has a greatsignificance to research experimental equipment for the wire rope catcher. Theexperimental equipment for the wire rope catcher has been put forward and designed. It notonly can check the work performances of wire rope catcher, but also measure catchingdistance when rope is broken.According to the working performance of wire rope catcher, first of all, the overalldesign of the experimental equipment was finished, which includes the design of drivingdevice, main frame, control system and breakaway device. Through the analysis ofapplication and experiment data, link mechanism, wedge block and drive mode wereimproved. The capture process was analyzed in theory by dividing the capture process intotwo parts. One part is the early stage of broken, and the other one is the contact-impactstage. The contact-impact stage was analyzed by the ADAMS software, and then the wirerope movement was obtained. Finally, the factors on the capture distance were found intheory.The experimental equipment was manufactured, and the wire rope catcher wasexperimented on the equipment, and the real capture distance was captured, which iscompared to the data in theory.Research and application show that the experimental equipment for the wire ropecatcher has a stable performance and can complete the capture experiment.
