As a new type of sandwich structure, foldcore sandwich structure has excellentmechanical properties. What’s more, the unique internal channel could realizemultiple functions. The simple preparation process and mass production also make iteasy to be used in aerospace field, automobile industry and construction industry.This thesis focused on composite foldcore sandwich structure and studied thefollowing aspects.First, the parametric structures of V-type and M-type were constructed by usingfinite element software ANSYS and the laws of different structure parameters whichaffect the mechanical properties of the structure were obtained. What’s more, theresults of V-type were compared with M-type.Second, the foldcore structure and ply angle were optimized by FEM on thetypical composite V-type foldcore structure. We obtained the best parameter rangeand ply angle for mechanical properties of Z-direction compression, L-directionshear and W-direction shear. The better parameter range and ply angle were alsoobtained for comprehensive mechanical properties.Then, a lot of Z-direction compression, L-direction shear and W-direction shearexperiments had been done to verify the results of optimization on ply angle. At thesame time, the law pattern of different ply angles affecting the properties of thestructure was obtained.At last, the equivalent models of composite V-type foldcore sandwich structurewere constructed and the properties of the structure can be predicted based on thelaw of energy conservation. The reliability of the prediction results was verified byFEM.
