Acrylic acid superabsorbent resin is polymerized by acrylic acid monomer andfunctional polymer materials, has some cross linking, widely used in sanitary industryand agriculture and other fields. Acrylic resin can absorb water easily, but theabsorption of physiological saline and simulating human blood is not very ideal.Suction saline ratio is not high, absorption rate is not fast enough, has not beenresolved.In this paper the synthesis of an acryl ate superabsorbent resin was researched,water absorption and the rate of water absorption both are high. Resin waspolymerized with acrylic acid and polyacrylamide by aqueous solution copolymerization, the relationship between polymerization conditions and water absorptionproperties was discussed, copolymerization and cross-linking reaction were proved byinfrared spectroscopy and through thermal analysis, there was no crystalline in resinon the basis of acryl ate superabsorbent and the relationship between polymerizationconditions and water absorption properties, starch graft acrylic acid super absorbentresin was synthesized, and has better water absorbency, but also has a certainabsorption rate. Through the infrared analysis, it showed that grafting reaction tookplace, and through the DSC, TG thermal analysis of resin, there was no crystalline inresin.Acryl ate superabsorbent resin was polymerized by aqueous solution, usedacrylic acid(sodium) and acryl amide as monomers, KPS as initiator, NMBA as crosslinker. The effect of the control of the synthesis conditions and process on water absor-bent resin absorbency and water retention performance were researched. Contrastedby lots of experiments, the maximum absorption distilled water ration was1390g.g-1,the maximum absorption0.9%NaCl solution ration was90g.g-1, absorption distilledwater ration had been340g.g-1in5minutes, absorption0.9%NaCl solution ration hadbeen41g.g-1in5minutes.Based on acrylic acid superabsorbent resin, starch graft acrylic acid superabsorbent resin was synthesized with gelatinization, used acrylic acid (sodium) and acrylamide as monomers, KPS and ceria ammonium nitrate as initiator, NMBA as crosslinker. Through lots of experiments, it is found that the maximum absorption distilledwater ration was721g.g-1, the maximum absorption0.9%NaCl solution ration was80g.g-1, absorption distilled water ration had been107g.g-1in5minutes, absorption0.9%NaCl solution ration had been37g.g-1in5minutes.
