Piezomagnetic property of Fe78Si13B9amorphous strip and Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9nanocrystalline strip was studied by the method of testing inductance.The results show that the piezomagnetic property of Fe-base amorphous alloyribbon can be tested and characterized by testing the nearby closed loop inductancechanges of Fe-base amorphous alloy ribbon.For quenched Fe78Si13B9and Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9ribbons, The inductance valueof the circuit appear to be rising with the increase of stress applied on the surface ofthe strip. When the test frequency is1kHz, There is a big changes in the value ofinductance, Inductance change decreases with increasing test frequency. Under thesame pressure conditions, Inductance change of quenched Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9isbigger than Fe78Si13B9amorphous strip.When the compression stress is less than0.2MPa, the inductance of coil has asharp rising trend with the increase of stress, Fe-based amorphous alloy ribbon ismore sensitive to stress less than0.2MPa.Under the same test conditions, for single layer and double layer strip, Thesechanges and trends of inductance are basically consistent. Single strip has bettersensitivity of stress and repeatability. Increasing the thickness of the strip have nosignificant role in promoting the piezomagnetic property.Annealing process have obvious influence on piezomagnetic properties ofFe78Si13B9amorphous strip and Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9nanocrystalline strip, At anappropriate heat treatment temperature range, Higher heat treatment temperature ishelpful to improve Fe-base amorphous alloy strip’s piezomagnetic properties. SI(%)of Fe78Si13B9strip increases with increasing heat treatment temperature. when theannealing temperature is400℃the magnetic property is best. Strip of piezomagneticeffect weakened with the heat treatment temperature continues to rise, piezomagneticproperties decrease when the annealing temperature is550℃, The piezomagneticeffect of Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9amorphous strip, after550℃annealing treatment, isthe largest.
