In recent years, the economy of China has boosted rapidly and the life quality ofthe dwellers has increased visibly, which has led to a numerous number of householdgarbage further. Sanitary landfill is the main way of dealing with this garbage. However, this approach is not a panacea, it will generate percolate, which containsvariety of complex poisonous organic substance and inorganic substance. Comparedwith municipal sewage, the CODcr、BOD5concentration of percolate could beextremely high, even tens of thousands even more. Besides, the heavy metals inpercolate may have significant impacts on the living environment as they are difficultto be degraded. Hence, it is essential to develop a effective method to solve it.Today, chemical treatment is widely used among various treatments of dealingwith heavy metals in percolate. Heavy metal ion trapping treatment is a relativelycontemporary treatment which has an appropriate result as well as low cost. It canprecipitate in a short time and have steady precipitate with second contamination. Therefore, it is utilized increasingly widely. In this paper, it is mainly focused on theeffect of using aeration tank biochemical method or heavy metal ion trappingtreatment to treat with the heavy metals in percolate with different pH and quantity ofcollector.Various concentrations:2mg/L,4mg/L and6mg/L respectively of mixed heavymetal ions solution were used in this experiment. In total, ten samples were taken(one sample per hour) under aeration. ICP was used to determine the remainingconcentration of every heavy metal ions. As a result, aeration tank biochemicalmethod was effective to some extent and the effect was getting better, the remainingconcentrations of each heavy metal ions were decreasing, when increased the time ofaeration. But it did not reach the emission standard.Various concentrations:2mg/L,4mg/L and6mg/L respectively of mixed heavymetal ions solution were also used in heavy metal ion trapping treatment.50mL ofeach sample was adjusted pH value to6.0,7.0,8.0,9.0and10.0respectively. And theusage of heavy metal ions collector DTCR-2were0.05mL、0.1mL、0.2mL、0.3mL、 0.4mL、0.5mL and0.6mL. The remaining concentrations of each heavy metal ionswere measured by ICP after reaction. According to the experimental result, when theconcentrations of the mixed heavy metal ion solution were2mg/L,4mg/L and6mg/L (pH=6.0), collector to deal with the heavy metal could not have an idealeffect-even could not dislodge them. However, when pH value was increased to7.0,8.0,9.0and10.0, the quality of heavy metal ion collector was increased, the resultcould be better. At last, the remaining concentrations of each heavy metal ion coulddecrease even to emission standard. Additionally, the increase of heavy metal ioncollector did not affect the COD of percolate heavy metal ion in the high degree.
