The-conjugated compounds which can be p-and n-doped have drawn numerousinteresting due to their excellent optical properties and conductivity. To date, the p-doping ofthe-conjugated linear compounds has been intensively studied. However, to the best of ourknowledge, the p-doping of star-shaped-conjugated compounds is rarely reported. Thesestar-shaped-conjugated compounds have broad potentials in photoelectric materials.In the present dissertation, the author prepared and designed a series of star-shaped-conjugated oligomers:2,3:4,2-terthiophene(X3T)、2,3,4,5-tetra(2-thienyl) thiophene-(X5T)、2,5-dithienyl-3,4-di[(2,2) dithiophene-5-yl]thiophene(X7T). The structures of theresulting compounds were investigated by mass spectrometry、nuclear magnetic resonance、.The chemical structures of the X-shaped oligomers are listed as followings:UV-vis spectra and cyclic voltammetry curves were employed to examine the maximumUV-vis absorption、edge wavelength、reduction potential of the oligothiophene derivativesand calculate the optical bandgap and electrochemical bandgap.The electrochromic properties of the star-shaped compounds were disclosed by usingthe oligothiophene derivatives as an active layer of electrochromic device through vacuumevaporation. The results showe that all the compounds exhibited good electrochromicproperties. Under voltage, X3T can emit blue-green and have a reversible transition fromblue-green to brown; X5T can change from achromatic colour to deep blue, and have areversible change from deep blue to brick-red color; X7T can change from achromatic colourto reseda, and have a reversible from reseda to yellow.
