Mine water has an effect on surface water and groundwater when it is discharged withoutrefining. With the rapid development of coal industry in our country, a lot of water resourcesin the mining area have been wasted. Improving comprehensive utilization of mine water issignificant to protection and effective use of the surface water and groundwater in mining area.In this paper, YuYang coal mine of YuHeng mining area as the research object which is inYuLin city. By means of field investigation and experimental analysis, to provide thescientific basis for mining area water resource protection, that based on establish a numericalmodel to evaluate the influence of YuYang mine drainage on the groundwater quality.On the basic of survey on physical geography, geological conditions and hydrologicalcondition, we do some experiments on mine water pool of YuYang coal mine in the researcharea:(1) water sampling along the ground water flow direction and along the ground waterperpendicularly near the mine water pool, hydrochemical analyse of26water samples;(2)getting hydraulic conductivity of mine water pool according to in-situ permeameter test;(3) aseries of indoor one dimensional sand column tests for the dispersion parameter in small scale;(4) researching absorption effect of iron and sulfate radical in porous media, gettingabsorption character and adsorption equation of iron and sulfate radical in the research area;(5) temperature measuring on different depth of stratum, which draw a conclusion about flowcharacter of groundwater.Depend on the hydrogeology data and the result of indoor and outdoor tests, building athree-dimensional groundwater flow model until theoretical research and empirical analysis.On this basis, coupling solute transport model to get a solute transport model of groundwater.Taking iron ion and sulfate radical as pollution source into the model derived from the resultof water chemical analysis. In the prediction of numerical simulation computed result, the ironconcentration of groundwater is higher than Ⅲ class of the water quality. It caused seriouspollution to the environment of groundwater nearby. Pollution halo is approaching the watersource with flow of groundwater gradually. Pollution halo have no effect on HongShiXiareservoir in this prediction, it is potential threaten to the HongShiXia reservoir of water supplysources in the future. Sulfate radical concentration of groundwater is also higher than Ⅲclass of the water quality in this prediction. It caused serious pollution to the environment ofgroundwater nearby. Pollution halo of sulfate radical is approaching the water source withflow of groundwater gradually. Pollution halo of sulfate radical have no effect on HongShiXia reservoir in this prediction, it is potential threaten to the HongShiXia reservoir of water supplysources in the future.
