The phenomenon of the coal spontaneous combustion is very serious in our country, based on the sensitivity and detection of carbon monoxide recognized as the early predictionand forecasting of coal spontaneous combustion index gases. The increasing concentration ofcarbon monoxide means the coal spontaneous combustion go on deteriorating, but thedecreasing concentration of the carbon monoxide doesn’t mean that the coal spontaneouscombustion go on weakening. Lots fire scene observation results show that on a low oxygenenvironment the carbon monoxide concentration drops rapidly, and soon disappear while thefire area close, but energy from high temperature stored by coal has not eliminated. So thisstudy is beneficial to judge accurately of the processing degree of the closed firezone.According to the related literature, the paper research including two integral aspects forlaboratory studies, one is the adsorption of the carbon monoxide the other is the bacterialaction on the carbon monoxide, the destination of these studies is to reveal deeply about COdisappear in the closed fire zone.Based on the characteristics of the high temperature in local distribution, the relativelyhigher pressure in closed fire zone, apply NO.2coal sample which self-ignite easily inLingWu, using Autosorb-iQ-C automatic analyzer to research physical/chemical adsorptionof coal under the conditions of different pressure and different temperature on the carbonmonoxide experimental study. The results show that with the increasing of the pressure coalphysical adsorption of carbon monoxide significantly enhanced under the same temperature;Carbon monoxide adsorption enhanced significantly too in a high temperature. It indicatedthat coal adsorption of the carbon monoxide is one of the reasons result in disappearing ofcarbon monoxide in the closed fire zone.Design the experiment device on one’s own for research on how the bacteria result thecarbon monoxide disappear.By contrast the different experiments, then analyzes the airsterilization, coal sample before and after sterilization, sterilization and moisture conditions in confined Spaces such as CO and CO2gas in the coal sample, prove the existence of bacteriato the disappearance of the CO play a role, at the same time deduce the influence mechanismof CO disappear bacteria. The results reveal the mechnism of the disappearing of carbon monoxide in the closedfire zone from a new angle, so it can be improved the accuracy of the state of the closed firezone through the gas index.
