In recent years, along with the promotion of boring machines and othermechanical equipment used in coal mining, the level of tunneling mechanization hasbeen improved. Domestic boring machines have only a single tunneling feature.Driving speed of tunneling devices is fast, but bolting and boring operations areseparate processes, which resulted in tunneling slowly and can not meet therequirements of roadway excavation rapidly. Bolting time has the too muchproportion of the total boring time, which was the bottleneck that restricted the minetunnel boring efficiency.Bolter miner can can achieve the synchronous of dig anchor, solve the problemof bolting and boring operations, greatly improving the tunneling speed. In the Coalseam mining which is better conditions in China, such as Shendong and Yanzhou,bolter miner has been successfully used, the effect is very good, which resolvedmining tense situation. But when bolter miner was used in complicated geologicalconditions such as high gas, support top coal and high stress, problems is prone tooccur in roadway construction, such as rock separation, spalling and failing and gasgauge and outburst, fail to take advantage of bolter miner, limiting its promotion.In this paper, for slower tunneling current situation under complex conditions ofhigh gas and thick coal seam, to improve excavating velocity as a starting point,integrated use the means of field exploration, indoor test, the simulation experiment,theoretical analysis and field monitoring, carried out the related research of bolterminer quick tunneling technology and process in high gas thick coal seam. Combinedwith sechnical features and the specific conditions of Changcun Coal Mine, analysisof bolter rock adaptation conditions and the adaptability of bolter in Changcun mine,proposed improvement of bolter miners and construction process in Changcun mine;analysis of rock damage factors of dig and anchor integrated roadway, determinedroadway parameters by using numerical simulation and theoretical analysis, determinethe parameters of roadway; Establish the mathematical model of coal and rockfluid-solid coupling, using Comsol numerical simulation, study on gas flow patternsunder different roadway driving speed, proposed the gas control program of headingface; Innovating roadway tunneling process by bolter miners and optimizing roadwaysupporting parameter, developing technical measures.Based on the above findings, carried out industrial test in S6-8tail entry ofChangcun Coal Mine. Bolter miner made a month drilling footage at606meters in the first test and month by month increase. Ground pressure monitoring showed that thesupporting effect was good. Application of Bolter miner improves the roadwaytunneling speed, ensure tunneling construction safety in high gas thick coal seam. Italso provides a useful reference for coal tunneling under similar conditions.
