For those coal mine with serious roof water hazards,how to recognize theconditions of roof water inrush and make a reasonable safety evaluation and affordeffective measures have important practical significance to ensure sustainable andstable development of China’s coal industry and ensure production safety of coalmine.In this paper,on the base of some cases of water inrush in3rdunderground coalmine in Pingshuo, the method combining the theoretical analysis and actualconditions was taken to study hydrological and geological condition of the overlyingstrata near seam,the height of water flowing fractured zone in overlying strata,waterabunance degree zoning and water hazard zoning and so on.Researches had been shown that the main controlling factors which influencingwater inrush from roof included aquifer thickness,permeability coefficient,unitinflow,drilling core rate,wash water quantity and fault,and so on in39110workingface.The interaction of these factors influences the development process of waterinrush from coal roof together.The height of water flowing fractured zone caused bycoal mining was calculated according to the empirical formula.Water abundance wasanalyzed using GIS and AHP coupling technology.The contribution weights ofgeological factors to water abundance were got using analytic hierarchy process(AHP),and then roof aquifers were divided according to water abundance evaluatedby the weights.Overall,comprehensive zoning rules of water inrush conditions onwork surface about K3and T3+4aquifers are consistent.Namely,the risk of waterinrush gradually becomes strong from east to west.With the tunnel section and fieldconditions analyzed in combination,the water inrush source and water inrush channelwere obtained,and the strong water abundance area can be known in roof aquifer ofworking face.Visual Modflow was used to establish the geological model and fit the minehydrological observation data.As a result,the water inflow in39110working facewas predicted in natural condition and artificial intervention under the condition ofdrainage.Combining the method of "three figure prediction" and the analysis ofgeological conditions,the measures used for water prevention and control were putforward according to the39110conditions....
