The Rutile TiO2supported on kaolin composite particles was prepared by themethod of sol-hydrothermal which use Tetrabutyl Titanate as raw material.The effectof different kinds of acid, temperature and the concentration of the acid on the crystalof TiO2was investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infraredspectroscopy (FTIR), UV-visible absorption spectrum(UV-vis), scanning electronmicroscope(SEM), Comprehensive thermal analysis (TG-DSC). As well as the effectof the Rutile TiO2Supported on kaolin composite particles on the crystallization andUV Light resistance of polymers composites was discussed. The main experimentalresults can be surnrnarized as follows:(1)As the acid concentration increases, the proportion of rutile TiO2increases,while the proportion of anatase TiO2gradually reduced under the condition of200℃hydrothermal, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid concentration is0.6mol/L,0.8mol/Land1mol/L. At the same concentration of acid, hydrochloric acid than nitric acid ismore advantageous to the formation of rutile TiO2.(2)Preparation of kaolin surface is almost completely rutile TiO2, the ultravioletabsorption effect is best under the condition of120℃hydrothermal, hydrochloricacid concentration is1mol/L by investigated the kinds of acid, temperature,concentration of acid.(3)Thermal analysis showed that the kaolin and Rutile TiO2supported on kaolincomposite particles are added so that Nylon has higher crystallization temperaturetemperature, Crystallinity also was improved. The results show that the polarizationmicroscope observation,as two kinds of particle proportion increasing, Nylongradually enhanced and Nylon by filling Rutile TiO2Supported on kaolin compositeparticles get smaller grain size.(4)Nylon filled with Kaolin retention of tensile strength and elongation at breakare lower than prue Nylon, the volume wear rate increase is greater than the pureNylon after700h aging. While Nylon filled with Rutile TiO2supported on kaolinretention of tensile strength and elongation at break are higher than prue Nylon,Volume wear rate increase is less than the pure Nylon after700h aging. Combinedwith FTIR analysis, the Rutile TiO2supported on kaolin composite particles canreduce Ultraviolet light damage to the Nylon.
