As one of the major four types of pollution in the world, noise pollution isseriously affecting people’s physical and mental health, so it is necessary to monitornoise to prevent it. But noise pollution is unexpected in time and discontinous inspace. The traditional manual method of monitoring that is widely used at present isnot good at collecting timely and representative noise data and requires a largeexpenditure of labor, which is not beneficial to the analysis and prediction of noise.With the aggravation of noise pollution in city, it is inevitable to monitor noise aroundthe clock, automatically and on line. Therefore, the thesis had a significant influenceon the research of the real-time on-line noise monitoring system.Based on the all-weather noise monitoring terminals which are installed at allmonitoring spots, the real-time on-line noise monitoring system continuously conveysnoise data via network to the noise monitoring background system. Based on theforeign studies of noise auto-monitoring system and because of the deficiencies of thecommercial noise monitoring system at home, the thesis takes Quanzhou city as anexample to design and implement the real-time on-line noise monitoring backgroundsystem, in the hope of promoting the process of changing the manual noisemonitoring to the automatical one in Quanzhou. With the noise monitoringbackground system, users can continuously monitor the noise data and equipmentstatus. When noise level exceeds the standard, or the equipment go out of order orthere is some other abnormal condition, the alarm data can be transmittedautomatically or manually via message oriented middleware. The background systemhas the powerful function to inquire, count and analyze noise data. Moreover, thebackground system is creatively set up with assigning permissions and a friendlyplatform in which the supervisory department and the supervised spots could worktogether to manage the system and deal with noise issues. Meanwhile, it has thefunction of gaining noise data via the phone client based on Android system.The thesis describes the design and implementation of real-time on-line noisemonitoring background system. Firstly, it gives a brief introduction of the background and significance of the reseach, points out the disadvantages of commercial noisemonitoring system at present, introduces the professional basic knowledge of noisemonitoring and the technical options of software system, and then analyzes thedemand for the system and proposes its general designing plan. The backgroundsystem adopts3-tier systematic structure of B/S model, applies JSP to displaying thepages, and selects MYSQL as the database. Users firstly access the browser throughthe Internet, and then the browser can administrate and have access to the data in thedatabase server through the Web server. The thesis detailedly illustrates thedevelopment of the modules of inspecting and calculating the information collectedcontinuously at the spots, of inquiring, counting and analyzing data, of giving analarm by sending an SMS, of managing the basic information, of authenticating theuser’s ID, of inquring information through the Android clients and the systemmanagement module. Finally, the system testing is conducted and the areas for furtherresearch and development are put forward.
