Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) are being currently investigated as host materials due totheir great specific surface area, large pores and channels, higher stability and adjustabilitystructure. The π-conjugating organic chromophore ligands can be coordinated with d10metals andrare-earth metals receiving luminescence and photosensitive metal organic materials, which haveimportant applications in light and electricity fields. The paper is focus on designing materials withnew luminescence properties, exploring the charge transfer mechanism between the host MOFsand guest molecules, searching photo-induction controlling switch and photo-conductive effectmaterials. In Chapter I, the concept, assembling, structure, properties and application of metal organichost-guest materials were introduced, the newly progress of MOFs host-guest area was alsosummarized and enumerated a few typical charge transfer host-guest materials in detail. In Chapter II, the4,4′,4″-s-triazine-2,4,6-benzoic acid (H3TATB) ligand reacted with zincions obtaining larger pores, higher specific surface, great heat stability three-dimensionalphotoactivity colorless material MOF-1, the guest molecular N, N-dimethylaniline (DMA) issuccessfully introduced host MOF-1, obtaining green host-guest material DMA@MOF-1(MOF-2).MOF-1and MOF-2are treated with X-ray powder diffraction analysis (PXRD), thermogravimetryanalysis (TG), diffuse-reflectance UV vis spectra analysis, fluorescence spectra analysis and N2adsorption, and then researched photoinduced charge transfer mechanism, forecasted itsapplication in luminescent materials. Based on the ligand H3TATB and Tb3+, MOF-3was prepared, and successfully introduced the guest molecules, such as tetrathiafulvalene (TTF),7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ),1,1’-dimethyl-4,4’-bipyridiniumdichloride (MV2+), N,N,N,N-diaminodurene (TMPD) and azobenzene (ABZ) into MOF-3. A series of colorful host-guestmaterials were obtained. The color sensitive properties of these composites were analysized. In chapter Ⅲ,the pyridine-type ligand N,N′-bi(4-pyridyl)-1,4,5,8-Naphthalene diimide(DPNDI) coordinated with Co2+, obtaining a larger pores atrovirens material MOF-4, which issensitive to water molecular, that’s water introduced pores, material turned red, and when the N, N-dimethylformamide (DMF) solvent were reintroduced into the big pores, the red color recovered toatrovirens. Based on DPNDI and Cd2+, a high thermal stability mesoporous material MOF-5was obtained. Based on DPNDI ligand and Zn2+, a noninterpenetrated pillar-layered materialNCF-12was obtained, which exhibits photochromic phenomenon. Based on DPNDIligand and Co2+, another noninterpenetrated pillar-layered material NCF-13was alsogot, which displays anti-ferromagnetic property. Based on carboxylic acid ligand H4BIPA-TC, a host material NCF-6was got with Ca2+, it also exhibits photochromicphenomenon. The pyridine propane (bpp), Cd2+,2,6-naphthalene dicarboxylic acid (2,6-H2NDC)were reacted then obtained yellow, high thermal stable material MOF-6, it displays an infinite self-interpenatration three-dimensional framework based on metal-carboxylic acid chain. In chapter Ⅳ, based on V-type carboxylate ligands4,4′-(dihydroxymethylene)-dibenzoicacid (H2dhmdb), benzophenone-4,4′-dicarboxylic acid (H2bpndc), a series of host materials(MOF-7, MOF-8, MOF-9, MOF-10, MOF-11, MOF-12, MOF-13) were synthesized. They weretreated with EA, IR, TG, FL and PXRD.In Chapter Ⅴ, systemic conclusions and outlooks for the whole work were given. Thestructure, adsorption, color changing properties of host-guest materials were introduced, and thepotential applications were also analysed. In all, a series of amorphous host materials were designed and synthesized, and some guestshave succesfully introduced into them, the physics-chemistry properties were also explored. Themechanism of luminescence and the subject of charge transfer mechanism were studied.
