Because the coal under coal pillar is very serious, connection shortage of production in mine, Xima mine plans adopt paste-like backfill to recovery protective coal pillars in Shenyang coal industry group. This paper progresses feasibility reaearch on recovery about boundary waterproof pillar in Beiyi backfill mining area in Xima mine.Base on strong aquifer in Quaternary to set boundary waterproof pillar in Beiyi backfill mining area in Xima mine. Because inclination of coal seam is minor, geological reserve of waterproof pillar is52%of total reserves. The key problem in this paper is that determine the height of water flowing fractured zone after mining. Therefore, paper adopt theoretical analysis, similar material simulation, numerical simulation and so on to analysis the height of water flowing fractured zone, base on research and analysis equivalent mining height. Security consideration, choice maximum probable height of water flowing fractured zone does duty for parameter to calculate vertical dimension of waterproof coal pillar. And bases on "three unders mining regulation" and "mine water prevention and control", determined vertical dimension of waterproof coal pillar, planned the boundary. Bases on reaearch, Xima mine can recovery63%of reserves in quondam coal pillar.Finally, this paper discuss further improve possibility of recovery in waterproof coal pillar. The recovery improve utilization ratio of coal resources, alleviate shortage of production in mine and extend service life of coal mine.
