Gas hazard has been one of the main hazards which threat to the security of coal mine for a long time, and domestic and foreign scholars have carried out a lot of research work for the controlling of it. Gas extraction is one of the best methods, which can prevent gas hazards effectively, and gas extraction situation affects the gas controlling result directly.The exceeding gas affects normal production in mining process of7605working face in Wuyang coal mine. In order to control the exceeding gas to ensure normal production of7605working face, gas controlling measures are needed. Based on analysing of gas sources of7605working face, Wuyang mine, theoretical calculation and numerical simulation method are taken to study on the projects of gas controling in. fully mechanized caving face of Wuyang coal mine.Predicted by sub-source method, it has been determined that the main sources of gas in7605working face is goaf and the seam itself. To analys the gas extraction system under coal mining deployment conditions at present in Wuyang coal mine, gas extraction technology is consist of ground and underground gas extraction. Special gas emission roadway is fixed up to solve the gas exceeding problem in the upper corner of7605working face. The layout layer and arrangement principle of special gas emission roadway have been put forward. The layout scheme of special gas emission roadway of7605working face has been designed, gas emission roadways are fixed up in the immediate roof and main roof, and the vertical distance to the under seam is2to4m. Gas emission roadways is parallel to the return airway, and the distance to the return airway is15m. Rectangular section is taken, which the width is2.6m, height is2.6m and the area is6.76m2. Using FLUENT software to simulate migration law of gas on the working face, gas concentration in the upper corner has been reduced from0.8%U-shaped to0.6%U+I type. By the using of above methods, the problem of gas concentration exceeding problems on7605working face has been solved effectively, and normal production has been ensured.
