Fosi Reservoir is a national second largest type reservoir, located in Fuosi Town Fuxin City Liaoning Province. It is a control engineering in the Daling river basin,which plays an important part in the development of Fuxin economy.In recent years, there is so little rain fall and because of the drought that the reservoir is low, and thus leading to shortage of water resources and water pollution. There is a rise in eutrophication and toxicity.The analysis of eutrophication and toxicity of the reservoir provide a basis for the prevention of water pollution.The water quality of the reservoir has been monitored from2009to2011using comprehensive index method, fuzzy mathematics method and grey clustering method to analyze eutrophication. And comprehensive index method, fuzzy mathematics method proved to be the best method.As the analysis results show, the eutrophication index of the upper, middle and lower layer are in line with each other. And the toxicity analysis results show that the toxicity of the water has all reached the type I standard. The risk of cancer from arsenic, cadmium and hexavalent chromium is high above the limit. There is a strong possibility of cancer if people keep drinking the water. And other pollutants are below the standard.
