A composite laminated plate is one of the most basic structures of composite materials.Research on dynamic modelling and vibration behavior of composite plates is significantfor dynamics analysis of engineering structures. Due to the lack of the research oncomposite laminated plates subject to base excitation, this dissertation has built up thenonlinear dynamic equation of the laminated composite plate subject to either baseexcitation or in-plane parametric excitation. In addition, the amplitude-frequencycharacteristics have been studied under different excitation and structure parameters.Firstly, based on the vibration experiment, the Young’s modulus of the phenolic isobtained in this dissertation. Besides, the modal characteristics of phenolic CCL under theboundary conditions of one end clamped and another end free are analyzed by ANSYS.Secondly, both Hamilton’s theory and the three-order shear theory are applied for themodelling of non-linear dynamic equilibrium equation of the composite laminated platessubject to base excitation. The dynamic equations are induced by Galerkin method forsingle mode or two modes assumption. The method of multiple scales is used to analyzethe amplitude-frequency characteristics of the composite laminated plates for these twotypes. According to the second assumption, an offset for the1:3internal resonance isadjusted with a small change for the system parameters. Furthermore, the variation ofamplitude-frequency characteristics are numerically investigated.Finally, the classic shear theory, von Kármán nonlinear theory, and Galerkin methodare applied for the dynamic modelling of the composite laminated plates subject toin-plane parametric excitation. The method of multiple scales is also used to analyze theamplitude-frequency characteristics of the SDOF system and the two-DOF system.According to the two-DOF system, the diversification of amplitude-frequency characteristics with varied structure parameters has also been studied.
