With the development of industrial, the problem caused by heavy metal pollution has aroused wide concern. Cd and Pb were easy to accumulate in the soil, enriched, migrated, transformed in the biosphere, and even endangered human health with the food chain "Biomagnification". Sorghum plant was a kind of annual herb with tall stems, lush leaves, high resistance to drought, waterlogging, high temperature, barren, salinity, diseases, which was cultivated throughout the world.Sorghum vulgare’23402’, Sorghum hybrid Sudangrass’98456’ and Sorghum sudanense-Eno were test materials in this study.Which studied in this paper were Sorghum growth status, physiological characteristics, accumulation of cadmium and plumbum in Sorghum species under soil cadmium and plumbum treatments.Tried to explore the poison effect of cadmium and plumbum on Sorghum plants and the removing effect of Sorghum species to soil cadmium and plumbum, Which might to provide some theoretical basics to sorghum forages repaired Cd and Pb contaminated soil. The results showed that:1. With the increase of soil Cd, Pb stress concentration, plant height, biomass of three kinds of Sorghum plants decreased. Little effected of low concentrations Pb (Pb50, Pb100) with Cd compound stress on sorghum forage plant height, three kinds of sorghum plants height and biomass decreased at high concentration of Pb(Pb500) and Cd compound stress and high concentrations of Cd (Cd50) single and combined stress. Biomass were higher at Cd10concentration of forage sorghum, Cd5concentration of Sorghum hybrid Sudangrass, biomass of Sudan grass combined stress less than single.2. With the increased of Cd、Pb and their compound treatment concentration, chlorophyll content decreased, the cell membrane permeability, MDA content and proline content increased and higher than the control group, SOD and POD activity increased at first then decreased. The toxic effect of Cd was stronger than Pb, combined stress was stronger than single. POD activity of the seedling stage was higher, proline content and SOD activity of the heading stage were higher, resistance of Sudan grass was the strongest.3. Cd, Pb accumulation of three materials showed increased with the increasing of treatment concerntion. (1) The Cd accumulation higher at Cd50treatment concentration, Pb promote Cd uptake of three materials. Low concentrations of Pb (Pb50) for forage sorghum and middle concentration of Pb (Pb100) for Sorghum hybrid Sudangrass inhibition Cd uptake.(2) The Pb accumulation higher at Pb500treatment concentration. Cd5and Cd10concentration can promote the Pb absorption of Sudan grass, but the effect to forage sorghum and Sorghum hybrid Sudangrass was not obvious, Cd50concentration inhibited Pb absorption and accumulation of three materials.(3) Cd accumulation of stem higher than leaf, Pb accumulation of leaf higher than stem, three materials, Cd, Pb accumulation of forage sorghum was highest, then was Sorghum hybrid sudangrass, Sudan grass was the lowest.
