China’s coal-dominated energy structure won’t be changed in the next long period, and the negative effects of coal on the environment because of its dominant position will become the "culprit". The utilization of clean coal is not only necessary to ensure the sustained rapid development of the national economy, but also the key to improving the natural ecological environment.The coal-based coproduction system is coal gasification-based co-production of cleaner fuels and new power systems, for the purpose of improving energy utilization efficiency, and reduce pollutant emissions.Biomass is environment-friendly energy sources, The coproduction system using coal and biomass as feedstock is to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions and solve the energy problem of oil shortage, with long-term strategic significance.In this paper, coal/biomass polygeneration process is simulated by the process simulation software ASPEN PLUS.Process includes coal gasification, biomass gasification, water gas shift (WGS), acid gas removal, FT synthesis and combined cycle power generation system of six sub-modules.Then, build the coal and biomass polygeneration system as CBTL-OT-V, CBTL-OT-CCS and CBTL-OTA-CCS, based on the results of the system model to analyze the energy use of the three systems using the energy balance method, based on IGCC systems and FTL yields systems make the thermodynamic evaluation to Co-production.Then, build the coal and biomass polygeneration system as CBTL-OT-V, CBTL-OT-CCS and CBTL-OTA-CCS.According to the calculation results of the system model, analysis the energy use of three systems using the energy balance,make the thermodynamic evaluation to co-productions based on IGCC systems and FTL yields systems; Analysis the systems’greenhouse gas emissions,using life cycle thought; Combining the effects of pretreatment on the cost of biomass supply,overall analysis the process economics of multi-generation systems.The results showed that CBTL-OT-V system in the energy utilization efficiency and economic benefit is better than that of CBTL-OT-CCS and CBTL-OTA-CCS system, but the latter two in the CO2emission reduction rate reached54%and65.5%, can greatly reduce the greenhouse gas emissions in whole system life cycle process.Considered from the strategic angle, CBTL-OT-CCS and CBTL-OTA-CCS cogeneration will be the future development direction of coal and biomass multi generation.
