With the rapid development of industry in our country, machinery industry was developing towards automation, high speed, high strength, high precision. It puts forward a higher demand for machine tool, the machine tool clamping positioning on the attachment is a very important problem in the design of machine tool.At present, compared with other countries, the study of domestic spring air-actuated pipe chuck is insufficient in china. There is big gap with foreign power chuck. This article show the studying of domestic spring air-actuated pipe chuck’s unreasonable of clamping mechanism of disc spring installation pre compression deformation. And to improve the design of disc spring clamping mechanism.The main contents are as follows:(1) Analysis structure characteristics and working principle of the spring air-actuated pipe chuck.(2) To analyze and calculate the compression deformation and mechanics of disc spring. Draw the problem of the disc spring’s compression deformation amount is too large according to the calculation results, and improving the design of disc spring clamping mechanism to meet the requirements of fatigue strength. Besides, the calculation of air need to provide the pressure value is1.3MPa, which is the pressure value to release the jaws.(3) To model three-dimensional structure and assembly spring air-actuated pipe chuck parts and the overall structure based on SolidWorks three-dimensional modeling platform.(4) Using SolidWorks Simulation to analysis disc spring group after the improvement, and analysis disc spring group of optimal material50CrVA. To verify the feasibility and reliability of the design optimization.This study improve the security and reliability of the clamping mechanism by improve the design of disc spring clamping mechanism, and improving the performance of the chuck integrity. This study can be a reference for the future of the product design.
