Metal-organic framework materials (MOFs) are a class of complex that havemulti-dimensional structure built by metal ions and organic ligands (nitrogen,oxygen-containing) through coordination bond. MOFs have attracted wide attention due to itsunique applications in gas adsorption and separation, ion exchange, catalysis, drug deliveryand so on. In this paper, starting from the MOFs’ synthetic strategy, the development of newMOFs in recent year composited by carboxylic acid ligands and mixed ligand wasintroduced.This paper focuses on three MOFs prepared by transition metal copper and mixed ligand:[Cu5(pz)2(μ3-OH)2(bdc)2(Hbdc)2]8H2O (1);Na{[(Cu3(pz)3(μ3-OH)]2(bdc)2(Hbdc)} DMF21H2O (2); H9[Cu3pz3(μ3-OH)(BTB)2(HBTB)](3)(H2bdc=1,3-benzenedicarboxylic acid; pz=pyrazole; H3BTB=4,4,4-benzene-1,3,5-triyl-tribenzoic acid). Compound1possessing both hydrophobic andhydrophilic channels has been prepared by two synthetic methods which have subtledifferences. In one method,1can reversibly transform to a layered coordination polymer2under only standing at room temperature (RT) upon a single-crystal to single crystal (SCSC)process.1exhibits an8-connected three-dimensional (3D) framework constructed bypentanuclear copper units and bdc linkers, while2shows a two-dimensional (2D) networkbuilt by triangular trinuclear copper units and bdc linkers. Furthermore, IR, TGA and XPRDhave been characterized and the magnetic properties have been studied of both1and2.Compound2can not be synthesized by the direct method. Compound3has been synthesizedsuccessfully with replacing H2bdc by H3BTB.3exhibits a two-dimensional (2D) honeycombnetwork built by triangular trinuclear copper units and BTB linkers and its IR werecharacterized.
