Magnesium alloy is known as " the green engineering metals of the21st century". Especially the magnesium alloy sheet has very broad application prospects. As forthe limit of magnesium alloys crystal structure, the traditional production technologyof magnesium alloy sheet is higher cost, poor mechanical properties and bad formingability at low temperatures, which largely restricted the applications and developmentof magnesium alloy. By rolling way to obtain high quality magnesium alloy plate isan important means to develop magnesium alloy sheet, especially the casting-rollingprocess of convergence, will accumulate experience and technology for theindustrialization development of continue casting direct rolling magnesium alloysheet.First, this article analysis microstructure and properties of self-produced3~5mm thickness of magnesium casting billet, and then studies using laboratory type1720four-roll mill to roll casting billet by hot rolling, warm rolling, cold rollingprocess to obtain rolling technology for magnesium alloy sheet. Second, study usingself-built six-roll mill to roll3mm thickness of hot rolled AZ31magnesium alloy bywarm rolling technology to obtain magnesium alloy super sheet, to explore the bestrolling crafts of the magnesium alloy sheet forming process. The results of the studyare as follows:(1) The shape of the self-produced casting billet of magnesium alloy is well, itsmicrostructure characteristics reflecting both casting features and rolling features.Rolling the casting billet by hot rolling (T=400℃), warm rolling (T=280℃) test,using small reduction and multi-pass technology can obtain the sheet of0.52mmthickness, the surface and shape of the rolled sheet is well.(2) The sheet by casting-warm rolling process has good microstructure and bettermechanical properties, tensile strength is better than casting-hot rolling sheet, plasticis better than casting-cold rolling sheet, its maximum tensile strength is260MPa, theextension is11.5%, and has slightly drawing formability. Instructions of casting-warmrolling technology can obtain magnesium alloy sheet with good microstructure andproperties, warm rolling technology is the best rolling technology for casting billet.(3) Dynamic simulation by ANSYS for six roller mill rolling process ofmagnesium alloy, Verify the feasibility of using six roller mill to roll magnesium alloy.The research group using six roller mill to roll hot rolled plate (3mm) by warm rollingprocess to obtain high-performance magnesium alloy super sheet with0.095mmthickness, its mechanical performance is good, its tensile strength is308.30MPa, theelongation reaches13.92%. The surface of warm rolling super sheet have many base{0002} texture, and there is also cylindrical {1010}, pyramidal {1012} texturedistribution. Annealing has little affect to sheet texture, just reducing base surface texture intensity and making the base {0002} texture orientation which has anglewith the sheet surface into the orientation parallel to the sheet surface.
