Modification of high speed steel is an important way to improve the properties of highspeed steel, compared with the traditional high speed steel by this technology in all aspectshave greatly improved performance and also has a great contribution to the manufacturingindustry, not only keeps the advantage of high speed steel cost, but also greatly improves itsvalue.This paper use of existing equipment. Through the market investigation, demand analysisand modification to produce the sample, and then through heat treatment experiment of highspeed steel specimen subsequent get the best performance.Using the methods of metallography, SEM, EDS and hardness techniques observe thedifferent sample, we can find that sample through the modification have grain size and meshstructure of carbides is weaken, hardness has great improvement. Thus we can come to theconclusion that modification of high speed steel performance has promotion effect. And thendo comparative tests on the sample heat-treated. Through the compare of the samples afterdifferent heat treatment, concluded that the best heat treatment is full annealing,medium temperature quenching, low temperature tempering. And one time tempering canachieve optimal hardness. Finally do wear resistance test with two different materialsconcluded that this paper of sample hardness is more higher. Through the above test and theconclusion can make provides a theoretical basis for the future manufacture of high speedsteel. |
