Aluminoferrite cement clinker was prepared from tailing slag extracted titanium,active lime, industrial iron oxide in this paper. Specific researches including.(1) Chemical composition, phases composition, setting time hydration strengthdevelopment, micromorphology at different hydration ages of tailing slags extractedtitanium were researched. The results show that, chemical and main phases includingCA, CA2are similar with CA-50cement.(2) Technological factors such as mixture ratio, calcination temperature andholding time were researched in synthesis aluminoferrite cement clinker. The resultsshow that, the technology of synthesis by tailing slag, active lime and industrial ironoxide is feasible. The best process parameter are tailing slag about67wt/%, industrialiron oxide about15wt%, active lime about18wt%and fired at1250~1300℃for1hour.(3) The setting time, hydration strength development and micromorphology atdifferent hydration ages of aluminoferrite cement clinker prepared in laboratory wereresearched. The results show that, the initial setting time is46min, the final setting timeis87min, the compressive strength at1d outstrips40MPa, and later strength isunsatisfactory.(4) The properties of aluminoferrite cement clinker via adding in high aluminacastable were researched and compared with FONDU cement and Secar71cement. Theresults show that, strength of castable added self-made cement clinker handled by110℃×24h,1100℃×3h are similar to FONDU cement and inferior to Secar71cement.Strength of castable handled by1400℃×3h are higher to FONDU cement and Secar71cement.
