The failure of piping system is various, and the mechanism is complex. In whichthe flow of fluid caused to erosion destruction is a common failure form of pipeline.Pipe is a common failure parts. Under the action of corrosive multiphase flow, thefailure of the elbow erosion is particularly prominent. In this paper, aiming atmultiphase flow in pipeline of90angle bend erosion damage problem launches theresearch, and establishes a fluid-solid coupling control equation. We have madenumerical calculation for multiphase flow medium flows through the pipe bending themodel. We m launches the research on flow field in the region of bend flow andanalyzed the stress and the strain of the bend in the process of fluid-solid coupling byFLUENT and ANSYS.. And discussing the influence of elbow erosion failure.Studies show that:Position of the maximum strain appear in the elbow cheeks andthe inner arch wall. The maximum strain location in the elbow cheeks and within thearch wall. And Increasing of the flow rate and temperature will make the stress andstrain improve. Elbow cheeks and downstream of the outer arch wall erosion is the mostserious and high incidence area. Appropriate to reduce the flow velocity and fluidtemperature can effectively alleviate the pipeline erosion. Conclusion of the study canbe useful for further studies and provides a theoretical basis on the erosion mechanismof multiphase transportation.
