Xinmin oilfield is typical ultra-low permeability sandstone reservoirs, which was put into exploiting in90s and experienced24years of development. The water drive became complex. Containing water is rising fast and oilfield has serious natural decline. Then, its stable production is difficult. Based on water drive development, in order to achieve stable oil-water control and raise the moisture content of the recovery, it is necessary to carry out research on water tapping supporting matching technology, and vigorous to be applied. That is a way of achieving a virtuous cycle development.In this paper, it completed research on characteristics of the water drive, technology of prospective injection-control, injection adjustment, establishing effective displacement system of low-permeability reservoirs, and improving injection system direction.It has the following achievements:first, systematic study characteristics of water drive in the Xinmin oilfield; second, based on oil-water displacement efficiency, recovery efficiency, sensitivity, combined with the application of reservoir seepage mechanism, further studied injection rate, formation pressure, water injection and other scientific indicators, which quantified the injection regulation principles; third, by using data of insepection wells and hierarchical productivity evaluation to conduct studying on remaining oil, which optimized the structure of vertical injection; fourth, aimed at improving sand body pattern, close spacing test, cracks flooding, single well deep haff and puff, water compatibility to the form special technology for low permeability oilfields; fifth, carried out evaluate overall injection system of Xinmin oilfield and proposed research direction to improve injection system.Flooding technique has broad prospect of application, which achieved good results and is matured. It formed supporting technology for developing efficiently ultra-low permeability medium-containing water oilfields.
