At present, the main way of oil production of our country is mechanical recovery. For the polymer flooding pumped well, pumping rod is eccentric in oil tube, especially when the pumping rod moves downwards, the sucking fluid treated as power law fluid flow in the eccentric annuli formed by the oil tube rod, which induce the normal force exerted by the sucking fluid on the pumping rod and it can intensify the eccentric wear of pumping rod. It is is significant on practical project to study the normal force exerted by flowing power law fluid on the inner cylinder in the eccentric annuli with the reciprocating axially.On the side of theory,based on the basic equations of the unsteady flow of the power law fluid in the eccentric annuli with the inner cylinder reciprocating axially in bipolar coordinate system, the calculation formulae of the normal force exerted by power law fluid on the wall of the inner cylinder in the eccentric annuli with the inner cylinder reciprocating axially in the bipolar coordinate system were established.On the side of calculation, the numerical calculation method of the normal force exerted by power law fluid on the wall of the inner cylinder in the eccentric annuli with the inner cylinder reciprocating axially was given. Taking the aqueous solution of partially hydrolyzed polyacrylamides for examples, the normal force exerted by the aqueous solution of partially hydrolyzed polyacrylamides on the inner cylinder in the eccentric annuli with the reciprocating axially was numerically calculated, and the effects on the normal force of the flow behavior index of the power law fluid, the stroke and the stroke frequency of the inner cylinder were analyzed.
