The KDON400Y-400Y air separation equipment is used to manufacture liquidhydrogen and liquid oxygen which is served as the cryogenic propellant in a certainlaunch center in southwest China. In recent years, as the number of the launch tasksincreases, the requirement of liquid nitrogen and liquid oxygen becomes greater. And itis a serious problem to improve the production efficiency for the air separationequipment.This thesis firstly introduces the development of the air separation industry athome and abroad. Then the fractionation methods and the technological process of thefull low pressure air separation unit are presented. And the HYSYS software is used tobuild models of the separation equipment. Models of the pressurized expansion system,the main heat exchanger system and the fractionating tower are respectively built andsimulated in the software. And then, these systems are linkage debugged. Based on that,the whole system simulation model is established. And the structural analysis offractionating tower which is the main equipment to manufacture liquid nitrogen is made.Finally, the method to boost the production of the fractionating equipment is summed upby changing some parameters and analyzing the corresponding production and purityvariation of liquid nitrogen.
