Firstly, this dissertation briefly reviews several functional compounds and their synth etic methods. On the basis of the review, the target and the significance of the research of this dissertation are mentioned. On the one aspect, the synthetic routes of1,3-dibenzyl-2-oxo-imidazolidine-4,5-dicarboxylic acid (vitamin H intermediate) are summarized and di scussed. On the other aspect, the physical and chemical properties, toxicity, the characteri stics, the production processes, the pollution control and the application of trichloroisocya nuric acid (TCCA) are introduced and the applications of chlorinated aromatics are also r eviewed. In order to develop the synthetic route of1,3-dibenzyl-2-oxo-imidazolidine-4,5-dicarboxylic acid, the model reactions were studied. In the nucleophilic substitution reactions, primary amines were used as substrates and dimethyl carbonate (DMC) was used as solvent. The N,N-disubstituted urea derivatives were prepared successfully. As to the model reactions, the optimized reaction temperature was180℃, the reaction time was10hours and the yields of the target compounds were64-78%.Based on the model reactions, the synthetic method of1,3-dibenzyl-2-oxo-imidazolidine-4,5-dicarboxylic acid was studied. In the nucleophilic substitution reaction,2,3-dibromosuccinic acid was used as the starting material, Na2CO3was used as the base and toluene was used as the solvent. After12hours of the reaction at110℃, the2,3-diaminosuccinic acid was obtained and the yield of the product was high. To operate the model nucleophilic substitution reaction to prepare l,3-dibenzyl-2-oxo-imidazolidine-4,5-dicarboxylic acid,2,3-dibromosuccinic acid was used as the reactant, dimethyl carbonate was used as solvent and Na2CO3was used as the base. At the optimized reaction temperature180℃, the target product was obtained after10hours of reaction.Additionally, some chlorinated aromatic compounds were prepared. In the chlorinated reactions, some aromatics were used as the tested substrates, acetonitrile was used as solvent and trichloroisocyanuric acid (TCCA) was used as the chlorinated reagent. After the optimization of the reaction condition, the reaction temperature was85℃, the reaction time was1hour and the yields of the chlorinated products were90-96%.
