Pickering emulsions are stabilized by particles. According to the mechanism of Pickeringformation, any sufficiently small size solid particles are able to form a stable Pickeringemulsions. It is difficult to improve the wettability of uniform solid particles on the surfacefor forming stable Pickering emulsion. However, recent studies have shown that, compared tothe uniform solid particles, Janus particles have unusual advantage, which is combined by tworegions of different composition, so it has unusual wettability. The wettability of differentparticle appears to be surfactant。So it can be expected that Janus particles with great surfaceactivity can form stable Pickering emulsion.Fe3O4-Au Janus particle was prepared in this paper, and the effects of temperature, catalyst and solvent on the yield were investigated. The Janus particles were modified by oleicacid, are1-Dodecanethiol and dopamine hydrochloride。The modified Janus particles aremeasured and characterized using infrared spectroscopy, contact angle, surface tension meter. Then, the modified Janus particles are formulated into stability Pickering emulsion, anddroplet size is about1μm。... |
