In this paper, two kinds of fishes, which are tilapia and gold pomfret, are anesthetized by using two kinds of anesthetics, which are carbon dioxide and MS-222(Tricaine methane sulfonate), for keeping alive without water. This paper studies the anesthetics affect on fishes, and researches the impact on fish properties, which include blood electrolyte concentration, biochemical indicators and cortisol. The results are as follows:In the process of anesthetizing by using carbon dioxide in high concentration(pH=5.6) at15℃, it spends the minimum time for tilapia into anesthesia, and only takes171seconds into the third stage of anesthesia. While using MS-222anesthetizes tilapia, the anesthesia time decreases and the recovery time increases with the growth of anesthetics concentration. However, when the anesthetics concentration of MS-222is greater than100mg/L, the fish irritability and the recovery time will increase. It reveals that the pH of the effective anesthetic concentration of carbon dioxide is5.6and the effective anesthetics concentration of MS-222is100mg/L.Tilapia and golden pompano by high concentrations of carbon dioxide and MS-222concentration is100mg/L, before and after keep-alive transportation, by measuring various physiological and biochemical indicators and blood indicator of tilapia and gold pomfret, it’s reveals that during anesthesia and keep-alive transportation, lactic acid and creatinine in the tilapia serum increase significantly, and blood sugar concentration is down after rising first.Tilapia and golden pompano the serum cortisol content in the soil conservation live there are significant changes before and after. By studying the effect of anesthetics concentration on tilapia survival time without water, it’s found that, while carbon dioxide concentration is at high level and MS-222concentration is100mg/L, which both are at15℃, the survival time will be maximum that512min and537min, respectively. It is show that the concentration of anesthetic is the optimal concentration of anesthesia keep alive, it can make the fish in the process of keep alive live the longestTherefore, carbon dioxide and MS-222is ideal aquatic anesthetic, can be applied in aquaculture in transport.
