The aim of this thesis is the synthesis of novel polyoxometalate compoundsbased on trivacant Keggin-type structure tungstoantimonate building units, which aresubstituted by noble metal ions formig sandwich structure. The study on syntheticconditions and roles for these compounds are carried out and the factors influencingthe structures of these compounds have also been studied. One novel polyoxometalate compound have been obtained by conventionalsolution synthesis and structurally characterized by elemental analysis, IR, TG andsingle crystal X-ray diffractions. One novel Pd6hexagon sandwiched polyoxometalates have been synthesized onthe basis of trivacant Keggin-type structure building units[α-SbW9O33]9-, which aresubstituted by noble metal ions in acidic buffer solution:Na2[{Na2(H2O)6}2Pd6(B-α-SbW9O33)2]·16H2O (1)Compounds1is sandwich-type structure tungstoantimonate, Compound1sixpd2+ions occupy the sandwich position. In Compound1six Pd along the equatorialplane of the interlayer form hexagonal. Compound1is built from the sandwich-typepolyoxoanions [Pd6(B-α-SbW9O33)2]6-, linked by quad-core [Na4(H2O)12]4+units toconstruct a pure inorganic2-D network structure.
