Ion nitriding has broad prospects in surface treatment, has been applied in industry.While the surface properties of materials are becoming more demanded, the staffs’experience of plasma nitriding restricts the popularity of ion nitriding. At the same time,nitrided layer is shallow and nitriding surface hardness is not significant. In the actualproduction, ion nitriding is rarely used into the surface treatment for the medium carbonsteel. Ion nitriding progressed little in the field of medium carbon steel, medium carbonsteel usually strengthen surface by high frequency quenching.The new technology of composite process of pulse magnetization and plasmanitriding is putted forward to further improve the wear resistance and durability ofstainless steel surface, and the computer simulation of heat treatment and artificialneural network is introduced into the design of composite process, for the realization ofdigital ion nitriding intelligent processing of spread foundation.First, the BP neural networks is established to get the plasma nitridingprocess,like required temperature, time, flux of gas; then analyzes the thermal analysisand ammonia flow of nitriding furnace was researched to determinate the location ofsamples in the furnace,by using the ANSYS finite element analysis software; a simplepulse magnetizing device was made; a number of45steel specimens were processed100times a week in pulse magnetization device; then unprocessed samples andpost-magnetization45steel specimens are putted into a same furnace for nitriding;finally, optical microscope, micro hardness tester, wear tester was used to detect theexperimental results, the experimental results is verified by the comparison.The nitriding process parameters was obtained from the simulink of plasmanitriding treatment, relying on of ANSYS finite element analysis and the artificialneural network; the error is less than5%comparing to the deep thickness and hardnessand target value; the specimen comparison of ion nitriding process of compositeprocess, the surface hardness, thickness, and wear resistance are improved aboutpercent of100%to150%.The new composite technology (magnetic pulse and plasma nitriding), offsettingthe shortage of plasma nitriding, significantly increase the level of performance for thestainless steel surface;for rising demand situation, a new way is provided to meetthe demanding; the computer simulation and artificial neural network was introducedinto the design of nitriding process, to a certain extent, solved the problem of reliabilityand controllability of ion nitriding plasma nitriding, putting a foundation for intelligentheat treatment.
