In the production process of pipes, as the molten metal will be extruded in theweld for pressing along its sides, dealing with weld,burr with various shapesremaining. Scraping status of the outer burr can be distinguished by human eyes,however, it is hard to distinguished inner burr’s for they are located inside the pipe.The existence within the burr pipe defects affect the judgment, easily leads to falsepositives, false negatives and so on,which lay hidden for safety in production, whilethe state and society might have caused significant economic losses. Importedequipment in the existing method using ultrasonic testing to detect inner glitch, whilethe domestic market has not been a domestic equipment. Based on that,in the papernumerical simulation for the detection of burr inside pipe has been performed, and thesimulation data has been analyzed and researched, which provides a theoretical basisfor the burr detection in future.In numerical simulation process of the detection for burr inside pipe, since theoriginal boundary absorption condition needs to split wave field,and a largememory,a new boundary absorption condition is presented which reduces memoryand achieves the same absorption, the paper adopts high-order difference methodimproving the numerical dispersion problem and calculation accuracy. Whereashigher order difference greatly increased amount of calculation,based oncomputational efficiency and accuracy,time second spatial fourth-order differencescheme is presented. According to the various shapes inner burr caused by position ofannular cutter under the control of the machine device is too high、too low or bymissing of blade, several typical models are designed. Wall thickness Adopteddetection method to detect glitches rules weld surface level greater impact on thedetection of glitches, so the paper analyzes various shapes within the signalcharacteristics of internal burr actual testing work has a very important significance.Adopting wall thickness method to detect glitches,the degree of rules for weldsurface greatly impact on the detection of glitches, therefore, analyzing signalcharacteristics under various shapes burr has a very importance significance. Since theinner burr with complex shape, analyzing its signal and complete test results are moredifficult, the similar theory is relatively rare. Apply the numerical simulation of theultrasonic testing techniques to glitches’ detection, and conduct the actual testingexperiment proving the feasibility and accuracy of detection, which provides atheoretical basis for practical work.
