With modern science and technology and industrial development, thequality requirements of steel is more and more high, and the oxygen in liquid steel and itsoxide impurities on the performance of the steel have a huge impact. In order to purify theliquid steel and improve the cleanliness of steel, Traditional methods often used fordeoxidation powder technique, but can not be controlled addition amount of deoxidizer,and powder alloy can not be inserted into the bottom of the ladle, the molten steeldeoxidation effect will be not satisfactory. Sometimes we use a single deoxidizer, such asaluminum deoxidation. However, deoxidation products in the ladle mouth easilynodulation affect the pouring ladle. Therefore, to enhance the effect of deoxidation and toimprove the oxide inclusions, the Si Caalloy powder is processed into cored wire by astrip wrapped, by using wire feeding machine added to the molten steel for deoxidation.This can improve the oxygen efficiency, and reduce production costs, and improve thecleanliness of molten steel to improve the quality of steel.The research method of this paper is modeling and meshing the model and loadcalculations for a section of cored wire by ANSYS thermal analysis. The melting time ofdifferent diameters and different strip thicknesses cored wire is analyzed. The meltingtime of the steel strip is determined through simulation analysis. Following, feeding wirespeed in the process of feeding wire is determined. Curve fitting is to feed line speed withOrigion, and formula of feeding line speed under different circumstances is obtained. Andfeeding line is by feed line machine to determine the structure of feed line machine. Andselects Siemens PLC for automatic control, then wrap the alloy powder formingmechanism has been designed. In actual industrial equipment as the research object,through processing of powder alloy wrapped by steel, and the high quality cored wire isderived. Therefore, deoxidation effect of the process of ladle deoxidationis improved. Thestudy has a certain practical significance to improve the cleanliness of molten steel andimprove the quality of steel.
