The oil type of Shu1, block Du-84,Guantao is super heavy oil reservoir. The reservoir isa huge massive block extra heavy oil reservoir and it is surrounded by water. It is one of themain blocks in Liaohe oilfield. But as a result of block Du-84in Guantao reservoir is of thedeep super heavy oil reservoir type, it’s a deep and high pressured reservoir. Some problemshave been exposed In the process of SAGD development, such as the heat of steam transfersto the up stone fast, more heat consumption, low gas oil rate, the development of steam cavityis imbalance and so on. And during the development of SAGD, steam is injected continuously.As the heat of steam transfers to the up and down stones, lower the heat utilization ratio. Thephenomenon of Steam overlap is very obvious. If we don’t take some effective technicalmeasures to improve this phenomenon, once the steam overlaps to the top of water area, itwill cause drainage of the top water, and even affect the development effect of the wholereservoir and the development of SAGD experiment, and it will lead to adverse consequences.To improve SAGD development effectiveness in Guantao oil reservoir of block Du-84,and to prevent the water above from flowing down as the steam chamber expanding, theresearch and study of N2injection assist SAGD development(SAGP)technology has beendone to achieve the goal of reducing exploitation cost and developing efficiently andrationally. Numerical Simulation and physical simulation has been applied to study onoptimizing and designing some important parameters, such as the injection mode of N2, theN2injection point, the N2slug size, the rate of N2and steam and so on. After the fieldconducing, the rising speed of the steam chamber has been slowed down and the productiveresult of the well group has gained a remarkable improvement. This has further proofed thatthe develop mode of N2injection during steam assisted gravity drainage process wouldimprove the recovery effect and economic benefit of top water reservoir. It has realistic valueand profound significance to successful SAGD experiment and efficient development ofGuantao heavy oil reservoir.
