For the past few years, Fe-based soft magnetic metal glass has become animportant research hot point, because Fe-based metallic glass has excellent softmagnetic properties and mechanical properties. While Fe-based metallic glass hasbeen an industrial application, Corrosion resistance and corrosion mechanism becomemore and more important. To solve above problems, Corrosion properties of Fe-basedmetal glasses in theory and application have been studied in this paper. Structure, thermostabilization and corrosion morphology of Fe-based metallic glass have beenstudied by X-ray diffractometer(XRD), differential scanning calorimetryapparatus(DSC) and scanning electron microscope(SEM) with Energy DispersiveSpectrometer. The weight loss method has been used to studied corrosion crack ofFe-based metallic glass in2mol/L HCl solution and3%mass NaCl solution. The result indicated that the passive film of Fe-based metallic glass has beenincreased in procession of corrosion, meanwhile the structural transformation due tothe stress accumulation in inner structure and the emergence and development ofcrack in the Fe-based metal glass by the residual stress has been released in passivemembrane rupture.SEM including EDS revealed that Fe36Co36Si4B20Nb4rodamorphous alloy has been homogeneous corrosion at the same time the pittingcorrosion also has been observed. This paper has been carried out as following:(1)The result of weight loss method of Fe-based metallic glass indicated that therate of corrosion solution respectively.(2) Fe36Co36Si4B20Nb4cast amorphous alloy has been immersed168hours in2mol/L HCl solution, whereas the pitting corrosion observed surface ofFe36Co36Si4B20Nb4cast amorphous alloy after corrosion products have beendislodged.(3)Comparing potentiodynamic polarization curves of the casting and stressrelief annealing under420K of Fe36Co36Si4B20Nb4amorphous alloy estimated.
